Research by IBM and CBI shows that UK lags behind other developed countries in adoption of digital technology, with many companies struggling to “digitize” their businesses. A lack of appropriate skills among employees is cited as the primary reason for holding back businesses; other reasons include  connectivity challenges, security concerns and an unclear return on investment.
