Two weeks after FCC approved revised Lifeline to help bridge the digital divide by aiding low-income Americans with broadband Internet ($9.25 per month), the GOP-controlled House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology considers reducing funding and placing a cap on the program. Austin Scott, A Georgia Republican. Millions of Americans may remain entrenched in the digital divide.
