G7 countries unite to bridge digital divide

G7

This week marks the first information and communication technology meeting of the G7 in 21 years. Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the U.S. and the European Union agree to work together to bridge the digital divide globally. Internet access and freedom from political censorship improve the quality of life and generate economic growth, they say. About 60 percent of world’s population has no access to the Internet today.
