IBM Smarter Cities Challenge selected Limerick as one of 17 cities worldwide to tackle urban challenges with technology. IBM’s report targets the aging population of Limerick and makes recommendations to improve quality of life with age-friendly facilities from heated seats and digitized bus stop tables to a regional electronic medical system.
